Job title - Independent Working Chef II
As an independent working chef in our restaurant, you will be working in an Indian restaurant. Your main responsibility is to create, prepare, and present dishes, ensuring they remain true to their authentic taste. You are responsible for strictly following our proven recipes while applying the flavors and techniques that make each dish unique.
👩🍳 What will you be doing?
- Preparing authentic dishes such as samosas, chaat, tandoori specialties, biryani, curries, and freshly baked naan bread.
- Using a wide variety of spices and herbs to create real, traditional flavors.
- Creating and perfecting recipes with an eye for detail and passion for culinary innovation.
- Ensuring a structured, hygienic, and organized kitchen in line with HACCP standards.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to guarantee smooth operations and excellent service.
- Presenting dishes that are not only delicious but also visually appealing.

Tasks
Independently and in teamwork preparing, developing, and improving meals and their cooking techniques
Learning and applying our existing recipes and preparation methods
Performing preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, weighing, marinating, mixing, cooking, and stir-frying
Assessing freshness, taste, and shelf life of ingredients to guarantee food quality
Ensuring continuous improvement of food quality, with emphasis on food safety, taste, and compliance with Dutch work rules and regulations
Sharing knowledge and experiences with other chefs and staff to promote teamwork and skill development within the company
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including proper care of kitchen equipment and tools
Job requirements
• A working and thinking level equivalent to MBO 3 or significant, demonstrable work experience at this level.
• In-depth knowledge of recipes, ingredients, fresh herbs, and traditional cooking methods.
• Proficiency in at least one language English, Hindi or Dutch.
• Willingness and ability to master our current recipes and preparation methods or a strong desire to learn from our established knowledge and expertise.
• Highly accurate, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• A thoughtful, quality-driven, and commercially focused mindset.
• Ability to adjust recipes for varying portion sizes or a willingness to acquire this skill.
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands with the “TWV niet vereist” status or an EU passport (required)
